ROSS SUNDERLAND

"Problems began in my relationship when my partner at the time and I started living together, in which she became pregnant. After suffering months of violent abuse, I decided I couldn't take anymore and decided I would leave, but my partner threatened that if I left I would never see my son again.

Over the months, the abuse was increasing and I was assaulted ten times, receiving black eyes, being constantly spat at and recently having a chair thrown at me, with such force that it actually shattered on me. I wasn't allowed to go to bed before her, and if I did, she would always come in and turn all the lights on and start shouting at me, in order for me not to get any sleep. This started to affect my job, social life, and most importantly, the way in which I viewed myself. In the end, I had to leave. I am now in touch with his solicitors regarding custody of my son."
